Inspiration for the SYLT Clay Company products came from a product that was created
by Dr. Syl Corbett in collaboration with dedicated formulators determined to use the
power of clay to help athletes recover from injury and overuse of muscles. Dr. Syl has
worked with many top-level professional athletes in professional sports including
hockey, football, triathlon, and running. By infusing Canadian glacial clay into a
formulation designed to maximize bioavailability, she created Rock On Athletic Balm
that is now used by athletes not only in the NHL and NBA, but it is a therapeutic muscle
recovery product endorsed by physiotherapists, chiropractors and massage therapists.
Dr. Syl recognized that Canadian glacial clay could be used in a wide range of skin
conditions and overall self-care. As a passionate believer in using all natural products, I
was inspired by Dr. Syl’s success to create a line of products incorporating the magical
power of Canadian glacial clay into daily skin care routines. Partnering with Glacial Bay
Organic Clay, we have taken this mineral rich clay (sea silt) found in deposits on the
pristine marine coastline of British Columbia and turned it into an effective and
affordable selection of products that can easily blend into a personal daily skin care
routine.
At SYLT we believe that the closer we connect to nature, the better off we will be. We
believe that taking care of our skin using natural products derived from the earth and
harvested by hand leads to improved self-care and promotes a greater mind and body
